Are you weary? Do you have too much on your shoulders? Are there just too many people on your prayer list?
If so you are not alone.
Statistics say that anxiety rates are higher than they have ever been. Chances are you are not the only person who is weary and stressed and anxious.
We are not the only millennium to struggle with this as well.
In the book of Isaiah, the prophet reminds those who are weary to call upon the Lord because he will renew their strength.
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the wear and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
There is a catch to God’s provision- that we would TRUST in the Lord. If you hope in the Lord then God will renew your strength.
Today I pray that each of us would trust and hope in the Lord!
What is one thing you can give over to God today and trust God with? Are you willing?
To hear more about this gospel of hope join us Sunday as Bishop Carter delivers the message and we worship together with Greater Bethel AME at 10am!
See you on Sunday!
